EDICTâ„¢

The ACE Group World Governance Framework

EDICTâ„¢ provides a clinical framework and legal route for immediate access to emergency medication for ACE Group World members.

EDICTâ„¢ (Emergency Direction for Immediate Complication Treatment)
EDICT™ is a clinically governed framework developed by ACE Group World® to support the safe, timely, and accountable management of medical complications in authorised aesthetic practice.

Rapid Emergency Response

Enables prompt access to clinically indicated emergency medicines, such as adrenaline for suspected anaphylaxis and hyaluronidase for vascular compromise, where timely intervention is critical. All use is in line with UK medicines legislation and professional guidance.

Evidence‑Based Protocols

Standardised, evidence‑based pathways support consistent and structured complication management, with appropriate clinical authorisation and oversight.

Patient Safety First

A systematic approach that prioritises safety, reduces risk, and reassures patients that necessary emergency medicines are available to support prompt, effective care.

Governance & Compliance

Delivered within ACE Group World’s clinical governance framework, ensuring practitioners work within their scope of practice, indemnity, and regulatory requirements.

Clear Clinical Pathways

Structured decision‑making tools enable rapid assessment, appropriate escalation, and timely intervention in urgent situations.

Reporting & Accountability

All emergency interventions must be reported within 24 hours via the ACE Group World system to support audit, transparency, and continuous improvement.

EDICT™ provides a structured, legally compliant framework that enables registered healthcare professionals to administer essential emergency medicines without delay.  This initiative ensures that practitioners can respond swiftly and effectively in critical situations, safeguarding patient outcomes.

Eligible healthcare practitioners can join ACE Group World and become a member.

EDICT™ forms part of ACE Group World’s Emergency Medicines Governance Framework and operates strictly as a clinical governance and access control system. It does not constitute the sale, supply, or independent access to medicines, nor does it provide prescribing authority.

Membership and Eligibility

EDICTâ„¢ is available to professionally registered healthcare practitioners who:

All applicants undergo verification of identity, professional status, and regulatory standing prior to acceptance.

ACE Group World® has produced an evidence-based, peer-reviewed ACE Group Emergency Kit document that details the medications that may be needed in the event of a complication requiring urgent provision, where delays in provision could compromise patient safety. The Emergency Kit guideline is an educational resource and does not override or replace medicines legislation relating to the holding or supply of prescription‑only medicines.
