I qualified in Medicine from The University of Birmingham in 1987 with the degree MB ChB (Birm).  I was the Senior Partner in a large general medical practice in Birmingham for 23 years, following which I became an Independent Medical Practitioner. Prior to becoming a GP, I underwent dermatology training at the Birmingham Skin Centre.  I have continued to have an active interest in dermatology and since 1994 I have worked in the field of cosmetic dermatology. 

My special interests include the use of injectable Botulinum toxins, Hyaluronic Acid Fillers and management of the complications arising therefrom. I also have an in-house Clinical Study facility and dedicated research staff, and have performed over 20 sponsored studies on 5 different Botulinum toxins, multiple HA fillers and other cosmetic injectables.

I am a member of the Allergan Medical Advisory Board, and an International Faculty member of The Allergan Medical Institute, as well as participating on advisory boards for Merz, Revance and other aesthetic dermatology companies. I am recognized internationally as a trainer and speaker in the field of injectable aesthetic treatments.  I am a member of the British College of Aesthetic Medicine, The British Medical Association and am fully registered with the General Medical Council. I was the Inaugural President of the Society of Cosmetic Physicians and Surgeons. Since 1999 I have been the Medical Director and co-owner of MediZen, an independent provider of aesthetic medical treatments in the Midlands, where I am responsible for maintaining the standards of competence and expertise of the practitioners working there. 

I also have wide experience in the medicolegal field, having prepared over 500 reports encompassing personal injury, GP medical negligence and cosmetic non-surgical procedures.
