This course is intended for healthcare professionals as well as lay persons who have previously attended an accredited BLS course.  A BLS course could be attended face to face at least every two to three years.

An annual refresher is advised and can be done online provided you have attended a face to face course in the last three years.

Please note some organisations require a course to be completed face to face annually, so please check with the organisation to ensure this course is the correct one for your organisation.

This course consists of five modules:
  1. Responsibilities
  2. Primary Survey
  3. Resuscitation
  4. Secondary Survey
  5. Choking
After completing this course, you will be able to:
  • Understand basic life support requirements
  • Understand chain of survival
  • Be able to administer safe and effective CPR and Assist a choking person
  • Be able to demonstrate post resuscitation procedures

At the end, there will be 10 MCQ questions to complete – a pass mark of 80% is required
